Moong Dhal Gravy

Ingredients:
Moong dhal
¾ Cup
Tomato
1
Turmeric powder
½  Tsp
Green Chilli
5-7
Lemon Juice
1 Tbs
Curry Leaf
5
Jeera
1 Tsp
Oil
1 Tbs
Salt
 As Needed

Method:
  • Soak the moong dhal for 20 mins and pressure cook it along with turmeric powder.
  • Heat a pan and add tomato and fry it. Half cook the tomatoes.
  • Once the tomatoes are done add the cooked moong dhal and salt. Stir it. Make sure the flame is not too high. Allow it to cook for 5-10 mins. Remove from flame once the tomatoes and dhal are fully done.
  • Then heat another pan and add oil to it. Then start adding the jeera, green chilli, asafetida, and curry leaf. Give it a stir. Then add them to the dhal.
  • Pour the lemon juice and mix it. Garnish it with coriander leaf. Serve hot with chapathi.



Serves- 3



Note:

You can also add onion to it at the beginning.
