Method:
- Soak the basmathi rice for 20 mins. Keep aside.
- Heat a pan and add oil, jeera, bay leaf, cinnamon stick, asafetida and curry leaf. Stir it.
- Then add onion and green chilli. Fry it till its golden brown.
- Meanwhile in a bowl add the curd, red chilli powder, garam masala, coriander powder. Mix it. Keep aside.
- Once the onion are done add the chopped tomato and fry it. Then add the curd mixture and salt to it.
- After few mins add rice to it. Mix it.
- Then transfer everything to the rice cooker and add 2 ¾ cup of water. Mix it and cook it.
- Once it’s done garnish it with coriander leaf and serve hot.
