Rasam ( Tomato and Dhal)



Ingredients:
Toor dhal - 3 Tbs
Tomato - 1 1/2
Garlic - 1 Clove ( Optional)
Rasam powder - 1 Tbs
Mustard - 1 tsp
Green Chilli - 2
Curry Leaf - 5
Red Whole chilli - 2
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 Tsp
Pepper & Salt
Coriander Leaf 
Oil - 1 tsp


Method:

  • Pressure cook the dhal with turmeric powder for 30 mins and keep aside.
  • Cut the tomato, green chiili and microvave it for 4 mins and smash it.
  • In a bowl add the tomato , dhal, rasam powder, salt,pepper and water. Mix it according to the cosistency.
  • In a hot pan add oil then add mustard and allow it to splutter.
  • Then add the garlic, Red whole chilli, curry leaf one by one.
  • Finally add the Gravy mixture and cook till it boils. 
  • Garnish it with coriander leaf and close the lid for 5 mins.
