Cabbage Vadai



Ingredients:
Urad Dhal
½ Cup
Whole red chilli/Green Chilli
5-6
Cabbage
½ Cup(Finely chopped)
Curry Leaf
4(Chopped)
Rice Flour
½ Tsp
Asafoetida
A Pinch
Salt
As Needed
Oil
For Frying

Method:

  • Soak the urad dhal for 2 hours and drain it. Grind it along with the chilli.
  • Add little water at a time while grinding. Grind it to thick paste. Keep aside.
  • In a bowl add the Cabbage, Curry leaf, salt, Asafoetida, rice flour and the ground paste. Mix it well.
  • In a kadai add the oil for frying and heat it.
  • Then take the little dough, make small balls and flatten it with the hole in the middle. (Make sure your doing it with the wet hand). Put those in the oil and fry it. (Medium flame)
  • Fry them both the sides till its golden brown.
  • Drain them in the paper towel and serve hot.

Serves – 6 Vadas
